Bulkhead hole question

Charles in SC

Well Known Member
Hi all, I have a QB-7. At the top of bulkheads 706-707-708 there is a hole in the center of the web that looks kinda like maybe it is for a nutplate but I cannot find any thing about nutplates for these locations. Am I missing it or are these just tooling holes?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, those are tooling holes. Almost every piece on the plane has one or more tooling holes. Sometimes they are used for something and other times they are not. If you look on the appropriate drawing for that bulkhead number, they'll show platenuts if necessary. Good luck getting up to speed on the QB. In many respects, I think QB folks have it tougher trying to jump in midstream!
