Brakes do not have equal play

Hello;

I recently added brake fluid (for the very first time.) to my RV6A. We have two sets . Pilot, co-pilot. As per instructions, added fluid from the bottom until fluid came out of the reservoir both sides. Sealed the lines and tested the brakes. As I applied pressure to the left brake it seemed to travel about 1 1/2 inches. When I applied pressure to right brake it did not travel at all. All lines were installed correctly. Can someone help?

Thanks
Bob

air in the line...

sounds like you have air in the line... break pedal travel without any air in the line from brake to cylinder is very small; around 1/8 to 1/4"... does the play disappear after you pump the brake? try lightly tapping on the break when you are filling it to make sure that the valve is actually opening up to flow any trapped air past the brake cylinder.
