Brake pad rattle while taxiing

What do you all do to silence the constant rattle of the brake pads while you taxi? My RV8 is operated from grass only and the rattle is very annoying. Thanks for solutions.

My -10 started rattling...

...on the right main and I had a heckuva time finding it. One day we jacked it up and took the wheelpants off and discovered that there is play in the pins that fit the two holes and it was rattling up and down because of a little pad friction.

We applied some never-seize to the pins and quited it down.

Best,

Pierre,

That sounds good. The pads have to be free so they won't rub the disc and wear out. My left one is worse than the right one. Maybe I'll do a little more investigating and try to come up with a solution. Thanks.

Very interesting timing...

I've noticed a strange rattling sound whenever I first touch down on landing coming from the gear area. Maybe this is the culprit?

Thanks!

Just slightly touch your brakes while rolling out. If the rattle quits, you have the same problem I have. Irritating.
