Bench Grinder Recommendations

I own a trusty 35 year old Sears 6" bench grinder which is in the running for 'most valuable tool' in my garage.

I want to purchase an 8" bench grinder for use 'on aircraft parts only'. Please advise as to which brand and model number you recommend. Would a two speed or variable speed model be an advantage?

I am looking for a quality grinder that will last the rest of my life and then some. Please advise, thanks in advance.

I'm curious why you want an 8" model if the 6" has served your purpose for 35 years.

Is a 3M de-burring wheel even available in 8"?

The 8" Harbor Freight Industrial model (it has to be the industrial model). I paid $60 for mine back in 2006. The thing is a beast, its been superb. I used mine every day and still have it. Its like brand new!

Get one..and put the scotchbrite wheel on one side of course
