Baggage Tie Downs?

Tiedowns

Just my .02.

Having tiedowns on the baggage floor is great for the local flights. I use a cut down bungee net to secure the gear.

I would add tiedowns higher (just below the rear windows) as well for the days you carry large loads like camping gear. I use the same net.

Trying to carry large loads with tiedowns on the baggage floor sucks imho.

As to your questions. Not sure the rail tie down would be of any benefit aside from extra weight. I have the quick release ones you highlighted. I don’t recall ever removing them. So you may be better off going with fixed points.

Not answering question, but yet another option AN42B eyebolts. Small, cheap, right sized to the application. Just a thought. I'm going this route with anchor nuts and doublers in the various corner locations.

Thoughts or good/bad experience with these two different routes for baggage tie downs? Single rings in each corner of the baggage area vs a 2' track mounted on either side (or fore/aft) that allows a variety of attach points. Or.....how often do you even use tiedowns anyway?

Looks like a good option. I like it better than the angle someone manufactured because this product lays flat.

Stainless straps that are held in place with screws and a cargo net with clips. Mounted on sides just high enough to put a piece of carpet or mat on the floor.
