Archer Antenna - Heat Shield

Guys I am installing a Archer VOR Antenna in my left wing tip. Getting it as far forward as possible per the instructions and wanted to ask the "EEs in the crowd about interference with the heat shield. I laid heat shield back behind my landing light going back about 5".

My ME brain is trying to convert electrons to water flow ect - to hard figured I should just ask.

I mounted mine further aft, so it's separated from the foil by 4 or 6". Works just fine.

I was wondering about that, a little flatter back there as well.

Moving it as far aft as practicable also reduces RFI from the nav/strobe.
