AP & nav source issue

My RV12 has the D180, AP74 and Garmin 496.
Everything works as advertised but when using the AP, I occasionally have the AP lose the nav source for no apparent reason. I can reset it just fine but after a while it loses it again.
Has anyone else had this problem and figured out how to fix it?

I had the same issue in New Blue when I had the D180/396 from time to time. I also had it in my RV-8 with a 396 driving a TruTrak AP. I believe there sometimes is a short lag in navigational output from the GPS when it recalculates its position thus confounding the AP which is looking for a steady data stream.

Long term issue with the Dynon legacy stuff.

As long as it is not your connections, there is nothing you can do about it other than wait for Dynon to come out with a new firmware that solves the issue.
