Ampmeter Fluctuations

I recently changed out an alternator (car Honda type, that was a rebuildandbench tested) that went bad. Subsequently changed out the battery also. Now it looks like the alternator is charging but the amp meter is jumping around a good amount. It did not do this before the alternator change. Anybody have any ideas on what may be causing it?

Same here

I have the EI volt/ammeter gauge.

I recently changed out my dead Concorde with a new Werker.

Ammeter jumps around a lot. Volts good, battery changing, no issues noted other than ammeter jumping. Could be the regulator switching the alternator on and off?
