Well, when I built my wing jig out of 4X4 treated posts, I didn't realize how quickly they warped / twisted. I looked at it the other day and noticed that that one of the uprights had nearly an 1/8th turn twist, and the other about a 15 degree bow near one end. Useless. Well, as it turns out, my father in law had a bunch af aluminum extrustions that he was going to haul off for scrap. I got them and with help from a friend with a TIG welder, we made this jig. I made it to where it can be used as a wing stand with rollers, so I can roll it around the shop. Outboard of the casters, is 3/8th all thread on each corner for leveling purposes, to make it a wing JIG. The center allthread/ crossbar, is to eliminate the sag in the center of the rear spars. (This is my answer to the car jack method.
) Hopefully these pictures will show up. When I get the wings skinned, and ready to install tips, I will make a fellow RV'er a steal of a deal if they need it.
have a good Sunday evening.
