Alternator stops alternating above 2000 rpm ok under that
Plane Power 60 amp alternator. Been having issues for a while, usually due to plug.
On flight back from the extraordinary Maine Lobster flyin, voltage dropped to 11.8 and slowly dropping while in the cruise , 2300 rpm.
On final it came back to 14.0 at 1900 rpm.
On the ground it was repeatable , 14 volts until over 2000 then 11.8 volts.
I know the brushes are good (400 hours on alternator, also looked at them)
The belt tension was set using a torque wrench, it slipped at 10 ft lbs
Thoughts? (Yes I am considering a B&C replacement if this can't be made more reliable)
