I just recieved our air vents from Stein's today. We ordered the larger ones for the side NASA mounts. How are most securing these 1 3/4" (larger ones) into the NASA vents that have the square flanges as supplied from Van's? The alum. non painted plenum that is used to attach the scat tubing to the vent, does not fit, even if cut (too large a diameter) . I'm thinking of cutting this plenum and making a colar similiar to what the smaller vents have, and using this colar as a nut to hold the vent to a alum. plate that is fastened to the NASA flange. Any advise would be once again greatly appreciated.
