Air-oil separator and engine break-in

Considering adding an air-oil separator on the Thunderbolt EXP-119 on my -14 (still under construction). I plan to do limited aerobatics and hope not to have extensive belly cleaning sessions after acro. I'm considering the Anti-Splat Aero unit with the addition of the crankcase vacuum kit. Being that a change in oil consumption being one of the prime indicators of break-in completion, should I wait to install until after break-in (or, at least waiting on the vacuum kit). I don't know how much the vacuum kit is supposed to reduce oil consumption, but a reduction in an already-reduced consumption might be harder to detect. Would there be any other considerations?
