aileron counter balance

have finally painted my RV7A. Aileron balance seemed fine when flying before paint .Have about 170 hours on it. Now I am getting stick movement when I encounter light turbulance. As an example when right wing goes up stick is moving left. Has any one added weight to the cast iron pipe in the leading edge and how did you do it and how much. By my check it will take 30 oz.
