After the storm

Landed (in my work plane) at DCA at 2:40 pm, got to the car in the employee lot around 3:15 pm, and then started driving the 25 miles to my apartment. Took me over 7 hours to get there! Rain was falling when we landed and about 5 minutes into the "drive", the rain turned to sleet, then snow. All of DC was a huge parking lot. People were abandoning their cars and walking on the road, the interstate, everywhere. It was like the apocalypse. Anyway, flying to see the kids the next day in the RV was much nicer. I spent less time flying from DC to Miami and back than I did in the car to my apartment. Way less. Here's a few shots from the flight over VA.

And one more safe on the ground at home, with no snow!
