I need some help and advice. My RV7 MP reading has been acting up.
I thought my AFS transducer was going bad but when I shut the engine down it goes back up to 29 in. I turned my avionics master on last night and it indicated 3 in. I started it up and the it was showing 6 -9 in. By the time I got down to the end of the runway, it went red which means I lost it.
As soon as I firewalled it, it came back to life and indicated great the whole time while flying. My mechanic and I examined the line running back from the cylinder to the firewall. It was clean. We examine the transducer aft of the firewall and it was clean and connections were good.
I called AFS and they think it could be the transducer.
What else should I be looking at? All CHT & EGT readings are great. Engine is running strong.
I am calling AFS today to order a new transducer. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
