Pictures of my install
It’s been a month almost but I finally got to the hanger and managed to snap some photos of my install. I bent the down feed line first and made the ends long for final trimming and flaring before locating the gascolator to drill and mount. Disassembling the gascolator I was able to get the final down feed lengths, flare the ends and assemble the line to the valve and gascolator. Gascolator resting flush on the bottom skin I traced the outline and drilled a couple of the screw holes. Then divined the center for drilling the pilot hole for the hole saw. Removed everything and used the steel drilling template to position and drill the screw holes, then drilled out the big hole with the hole saw. I two way taped a wood block on the inside floor skin with a 1/4” pilot hole for the hole saw pilot. I used a steel dowel as the pilot, not a drill bit. It gave a very nice clean hole. I put in a doubler also under the gascolator. I have 1/8” clearance between the down feed “u” bend and the spar. The line from the gascolator to the pump was made as short as I could make it. I used the per plane AFP pump mounting bracket that uses two worm clamps that I modified. I have a 3/4” space between the floor bottom skin and the second floor skin I insulated with ceramic blanket insulation and most of the wiring is in that cavity. Floor panels are removable.
