Question for the group. Trying to see if anyone has painted Aerothane Enamel over Akzo primer? Trying to touch up a few rough spots on the C-140 fuselage. I know, don't mix systems is the defaut answer.
As a test, I brushed a few cc's of paint on a tool box that I had sprayed with Akzo, and other than a bunch of debris (dust, lint, etc) in the brush/cup/stirring stick/etc...it seemed to adhere and cure just fine. No fisheye, no peeling, no wrinkling, etc.
So what do do you think? Should I prime the C-140 touchup spots w/Akzo first, or just shoot the paint over alodine?
To keep it RV related, the tool box was Van's practice kit.
