Do you guys that have this Cowl Pin Cover installed have a straight hinge pin or do you have the flat part that you can screw down?

Mine is straight with a loop at the wire end under the cover so you I remove/install it.

I used the flats and made a recess for them to fit under the cover on my RV14 ... see this blog page.

I cut off 3/4 of the tab leaving just enough to grab with a small vice grip. The tab remnant fits nicely under the cover.

I made mine out of some thrift store tablespoons. Cut the handles off, some minor grinding on the sander, and then a polish on the wheel. Aerosport's look better of course, but I am frugal and enjoy fabrication.
