Adjustable seat?

I'm coming from building an rv10 and thinking about building an 8.
The ten has front seats that slide/adjust on rails.
Is the front 8 seat adjustable or is the seat fixed and the adjustments done by moving the pedals?

The seat is fixed and adjustable pedals are optional.
