A short pictorial flight to Kearny - Part I
Sunday morning last weekend was supposed to good for flying but when we got up, the weather from the big front that was coming in from California, and was supposed to stay north, decided to dip down into Arizona and interfere with our trip north.
The Garmin 496 shows the weather to the north of us.
A decision was made to go 180 degrees from the bad weather which would take us over Kearny. We hadnt been there in about a year so time to saddle up.
The weather looking North EAst past Scottsdale showed a solid overcast.
The view looking South West showed blue sky in the distance just as the Garmin 496 showed on its screen.
Dave and Glenn take off from Glendale airport (GEU) in formation bound for Kearny.
Going past the Superstition Wilderness Area on the east side of town.
Its flatlands with a few humps going past Eloy.
Its starts getting hilly again before you come into Kearny.
Part II continues HERE
