A couple of canopy questions

Please be patient with me.
I started trimming the moulding grooves off the bottom of my canopy today. Should I go ahead and trim this part off of the windshield portion at this time as well? I could not find this in the manual.
Also when should I trim the plexi to fit the rear canopy bow?

On a tip-up ...

... you can safely cut off all the mold grooves, then do a trial fit. You'll find you do a lot more trimming off the nose and tail than the sides. I can't speak to the same process on a slider.
