Hi all,
I had the drill on hand and it became easy to place one A-408 plate on top (aft web) of the A-403PP-L Aileron Spar to begin match-drilling the holes onto the plate.
Missed the A-408 detail view on DWG 13A where it specifically states: "Locate Part: Spanwise by placing THE LONG EDGE flush with the inbd/otbd edge of A-403PP"
Maybe you already figured out my mistake: I placed THE SHORT EDGE flush with (in this particular case) the outboard edge of A-403PP Left Aileron Spar. Took 4 holes of match-drilling muscle before I realized the mistake.
I will most likely make one A-408 out of some .040" 2024-T3 sheet of scrap alclad, but could also get away with it for once.
Only concerned about edge distances, but they don't seem to be an issue here.
Suggestions?
