7 (not 7A) Upper gear leg intersection fairing attachment?

This question is for -7's, not -7A's. Sorry guys.

How did you attach the upper gear leg fairings and where?

I was unable to find a picture of the platenuts and their location.

Rene,

Thanks for the tip.

I elected to drill and tap a hole for a #6 screw along the side stiffener and then another #6 plate nut on the side and bottom of the cowling.

I elected to bond the intersection fairing to the fuselage and the bottom engine cowling. I then carefully cut the fairing between cowl and fuselage. Looks great, but it seems the bottom cowling is a bit difficult to get back on when removed. May just take a little practice. Would likely go more smoothly with a person on each side. I'll get it down pat before I paint. If you do this be sure to get the screw for the gear leg fairing hose clamp under the engine cowl portion or you'll be unable to remove the gear fairing.
