I'm New Here
I have over 800 hours behind this model Rotax. The first commentor is right. Set the idle using the idle adjustment screw. This must carefully be done on both carbs until just right. May take some time. Other problems are as he mentioned. Throttle and/or choke cable problems. Choke not returning with it's spring after throttle pulled to idle. Like he said, do not run this engine except enough to get it right over 2500 rpm until oil gets to 120 or better. Idling until 120 can be a pain -- especially in cold weather. However, it does have one advantage -- forces you to sit and think about what you are going to do. Make sure the idle doesn't go below 1800 rpm when engine is warmed up. It is typical for it to idle at 2000 rpm or so when cold. Don't worry. Just hold the brakes and when warm it will come back down where you want it. Hope this helps.
