601TD doubler question

I have been trying to locate some info on 601 td which is a doubler plate for the brake lines on the firewall. My 7-qb does not have it installed nor can I find it in the parts check sheet. I could make it easy enough but do not have any data on the thickness. Is this something I missed or should I call Van's? I kind of hate to call them on such a small thing.

Charles,

I seem to recall it being 0.063" thick and made from stock.

It IS on the firewall stiffener plan. I am not sure of the number. Right beneath it I seem to remeber seeing the specs.

It's on Sheet 19, made from .063 2024-T3 Alclad.

And yup, you make it yourself from .063 aluminum.
I had some fun and scanned the plan to use as a template in Autocad and then let my tabletop CNC machine cut the part to precise dimensions and hole placement.
Likely took less time to do that than to carve it out and drill it by hand, and fun too in a high tech sort of way.
