2X Rivet Gun Pressures?

Thought I would try a 2X gun. At pressures for 20 psi to 90 psi, gun will only cycle for 1 to 1.5 seconds. Then I have to release the trigger and pull trigger again. First try was on a #3 rivet but then I put the gun on the bench top to figure out the cycling. Again, at 10 psi intervals, gun would only hit/cycle for about a second.

Am I doing something wrong?

Try three drops of oil....

Actually I have. Got the gun, set it upside down on the bench and put some oil in it and let it sit a day.

But your suggestion is that maybe it needs more oil?

Quick follow up for those future searchers.

Put a lot of oil in the gun and let it sit a bit. Tried it today and works fine.

In the Air Force we would put three drops of air tool oil in all of the air tools each day before use. Never had a problem.

Oil everyday to keep them running smooth.
