24V vs 12V for LED lighting

Question for you electronic guru's. I recently got a pair of Whelen Parmetheus Plus LED lights. Unfortunately the version I got was the 24V set and I have a 12V system. What are my options? Will they work just fine on my 12V system or do I need to put a transformer in some way?

TIA

Darin

The best option, if possible, is to trade them in for the 12 volt version.
Transformers only work on alternating systems, not on aircraft DC systems.
However, there are DC to DC voltage converters available. Here is an example on ebay: http://tinyurl.com/12-24-Converter
I am not necessarily recommending it. Be aware that sometimes companies from China exaggerate the capabilities of their products.

Thank Joe, I would like to exchange them but since they have been installed I don't think thats an option. I may just sell them and buy new but I was hoping that there would be a simple solution since I expect the 12V version and the 24V version are pretty much the same LED's with a little different electronics powering them.
