Anyone know if you can adjust the mechanical fuel gauge in a 12iS?

From the KAI page 26-04. If it's really off, you could open up the tank and change the angle of the float arm --- but are you really sure you want to? Do you have a calibration curve recording how many gallons for each 1/8 of a tank on the dial?
