I'm sure there are other ways to do this ... this is just mine.
I had the need to flare some 1/8" aluminum primer line and my Imperial Flaring Tool only went down to 3/16 - what to do?
I made an adapter out of 5/8" dia. round aluminum (6061/2024) bar stock, that had been bored (1/8"), countersunk & (almost) split to fit in the 5/8" hole in the flaring tool. As I only have four flares to make I really don't care too much about the tool's longevity. But it works well enough to make flares that fall within the Single Flare Diameter spec. according to SAE J533, so I'm good to go ...
