Two tiny RV8 Upgrades

One is that when you unhook the front seat lap belts they lay down in the passenger foot well area, and that is exactly where I want to put my right foot when getting in or out. So I made a very simple 3x3 inch piece of thin aluminum sheet, bent a little flange on one end, and used the 2 screws that attach the front seat to mount the aluminum next to the side of the seat. I bent a slight curve in it. Now when I unhook the belt I can just drop it in the little slot and it holds it clear of the foot well.

So I made a hinged bracket captures the stick. It fits in the seat bottom cut out when not in use. Fold it back and the pin latches it out of the way. Fold it forward and the pin captures the stick.

That's a slick control lock! I may have to copy it.
