Firewall Penetration…Desert Rat PIREP
This is going to be somewhat specific to your installation, but I ran all that stuff through two 1" firewall passthroughs up high on the passenger side. One was for power wires and the other was for sensor wires. If you go this route you have to make sure they don't interfere with the brake reservoir or getting your battery out of the box if it's on the same side.
You might also consider running a few extra wires through and just capping them off for stuff you haven't thought of or might want add in the future.

Panel Redesign …Carl Froehlich PIREP
I find figuring out how to mount remote stuff to take more time than the panel itself. The key point here is to make a lot of room for the associated module D connectors, and verify that you can actually attach or detach the connectors with the module installed.
For planning , I did the same paper doll approach as the panel. The photo is the current ride (RV-8). There is a lot more room in an RV-10!

Tank Leak
I just bought this plane. There is a mechanical constraint that caused a failure of the seal between T-708 (tank access plate) and T-703 (inboard rib). The plans in drawing 16A call for a cork gasket between these two surfaces, but no PN or material specificaiton is called out. I ordered a new...

Cowling attach cam locks
AltHough I already installed the hinge I’m considering converting to the cam locks for the upper cowl firewall attachment. Can anyone help me locate the cam locks and the brackets? Is it worth the effort?
