Default Operation Donut

Today was pretty much the worst day I've had in a while. Yesterday, on the other hand, was pretty much one of the best. So, let's talk about that one. I can't think of a better way to use our freedoms than to go get some donuts and BBQ

Mission, Leg 1: Donuts
Route: FFC-AHN-Zombie Donuts

Maggie (and Teddy) and I climbed aboard N6PU at about 9:30, headed to AHN.

A quick :30 minutes and we had use of the requisite Crown Vic, bad ball joints and all. 10 minutes later we were in beautiful downtown Athens, GA. It was a little bumpy for enroute pics, sorry.

Maggie approves of the mission.

Caffineated and sugared up, we returned to FFC.

Nice and smooth at 4500'.

A little Daddy-Daughter time:

But, even Dad and Rv's can't overcome the allure of electronic media and a nap:

Safely on the ground in FFC, we swapped kids and hooked up with my good friend George for Leg 2.

George and his grandson agreed to meet up with my younger daughter and I. We headed down to PIM for cheap gas, free courtesy car and BBQ at the 3 Little Pigs. Now, if you haven't experienced 3 Little Pigs, I highly recommend it. 5 minutes away by, you guessed it, a Crown Vic. Ball joints in good shape this time.

No pics on the way down. Managing a 6 year old in loose formation was enough work.

3 Little Pigs:

Happy plates all around:

Tree climbing in the parking lot:

19 minutes back to FFC. Still, enough time for a quick nap.

Overall, a perfect day.

Default kids

Nice write up!
Very nice pics, good job posting.
We never know the impression we make on the younger ones with our flying machines.

After I take the Grandkids for a lunch run someplace exotic, I ask them what their friends at school thought about the exclusion. There answer is..." I didn't tell them....They would not believe me" hahahaha!

Keep making memories....and pictures! Time flies and they grow up quick.
Thanks for sharing.

It seems to me that if Ben & Jerry get together for a flight that the only logical thing to do is to find ice cream-- but that's just me.
