Fuel Pressure sending unit

It would be very simple (lots of room & no hose) to mount the fuel pressure sending unit on the tee fitting that comes out of the mechanical fuel pump. Is this a bad idea?

I'm no authority, but it sure seems to me that the sender sure wouldn't like (likely failure) being beat up by the shaking engine.

Scott is right. Don't mount any pressure senders on the engine itself. They don't like the vibrations.
