From the KAI:
Step 1: Remove the backshell from the WH-00031 Switch Module Harness 25-pin D-Sub connector labeled "SWITCHES" with a yellow heat-shrink band as shown in Figure 3.
Figure 3 clearly shows the D-sub connected to the AV-50001. This D-sub contains male pins.
KAI:Install the D-Sub pins connected to the WH-L1128 (WHT) and
WH-L1129 (WHT) wires coming from the WH-00111 Dimmer
Potentiometer Harness into the open receptacles in the D-Sub 3 connector. Either wire may go into pin 6 or 7. See Figure 1.
The wire from the dimmer switch has female pins and slots 6 and 7 are already occupied. This clearly won't work. However, the other end which connects to the AV-50000A contains female pins and has positions 6 and 7 available. The KAI says to reconnect the D-sub to the AV-50001, so it's clear what they mean. Should the pins from the dimmer go to the end connected to the AV-50000A rather than as indicated in the KAI?
Thanks.
