Back bulkhead baffles

exercise

Well Known Member
Hi Guys,

Two questions when installing the right and left back bulkhead baffles...

1. Vans directions say "Part 6 C/L flange should be under the part 7 flange to hold his area flat."

Part 7 is the right side back bulkhead baffle and part 6 is the left back side baffle. They overlap at the center top of the engine. So which overlapping baffle is on the FRONT side..closer to the front of the plane?

2. Vans directions say "No rivets in C/L flanges"

. This is describing the overlapping part 6 and 7 back bulkhead baffles I discussed in question 1. Does the part 15 center brace just bolt onto one of the two baffles(6 or 7) or does that brace bolt go through both baffles, thereby joining them together?

Just finished that part. :)

With the latest vans baffle kit it didn't seem to make much difference which aft part was in front of the other.

There are no rivets there, the two parts are bolted to the engine support piece with two AN3 bolts.
