Does anyone have any experience with the Centri-Lube Cam STC from Firewall Firward Aircraft Engines? It is supposed to port oil directly to the cam lobes, so cam lobe wear is minimized. Since Lycoming engines have their cam shafts at the top of the engines, unlike Conti’s, they would otherwise depend on (the more random?) crank shaft splashing for cam shaft lubrication. I just wonder if the gain is worth the cost, and if there are any down-sides.
