Best/Several Good -8 Build Pages

So I've found that I use RV-8 builder web pages often to give me ideas before I start the next section of my building... Can some of ya'll suggest the best (in your opinion of course :D ) builder web pages which I can check out for ideas?

Thanks!

RV Sites

anyone know if Dan Checkoway is going to market his RV build log - or return it to the internet? It sure helped me when I started 5 years ago.

some of the best weren't metioned yet so here...

My favorites weren't mentioned yet so I'll throw this out there:

Mark Richardson who has one of the best RV8 paint schemes I've ever seen

I liked Larry Bowen's website which is now in his archives since he sold the 8 and is building a 7 (yuch... :) ) start at the bottom of the archive list and work up.

Excellent website you can learn a lot that would apply to any RV

Perhaps one of the mods (or Doug??) could make this a "sticky" so the thread will stay around? It's valuable info!!!

I look forward to looking at Brent's build site everyday, along with Jeff Mitchell's and Steve Riffe's.

A special note is Bob Ellis's site www.rv-8.co.uk I have been learning a great deal here too!

Keep up the great work gents!

I have a few pages of pics on EAA326's chapter webpage. You can access it thru the link in my signature. It's more pictorial than technical.
My RV-8 was built with an auto conversion. A turbocharged Mazda rotary engine. So those curious about alternative engines might find it useful.
I flew it 16 hours but only enjoyed the experience for a few minutes, although I did enjoy building it. I plan to mount the complete Mazda power egg on a 'Snowplane' aka 'Aerosled', or an Airboat.
I'm posting the RV8 conversion to Lycoming power now.

Feel free to include both of mine... unless you don't think they're good. See links in my signature.

Hey Don, I keep checking your log--I see you are making very steady progress. I hope my log has been helpful to you and others. I followed Brent's log and Michael Elliot a lot during my build. As noted, some of the older logs are no longer hosted. Sad to see some of them disappear--there is a ton of info out there somewhere! Keep up the good work.

Steve

Please add your blog or kit log if you have one. I check Martin and Steve's blog at least weekly. Yesterday I was stumped on the baffles and found the answer I needed in Steve's blog. I really appreciate the time and extra effort it takes to photo and blog your build.

Thank you to everyone that has done that!

I won't comment on the quality of the posts, but I figured I'd share my blog now that I'm starting to get somewhere with my build. I'd love folks to subscribe and follow along if they're interested. It's motivating to know others might be out there reading what you're writing.
