Default Cad template library ???

Im starting layout of my RV-14 panel and will do layout in Autocad.
I have cad template for panel components from years ago, but nothing applies to my Dynon setup.

Got some CAD files from Dynon, cant find any for Garmin.
Wondering if there is a VAF thread with a library of cad templates?
Or, CAD file uploads of panel layouts that I can pull from?

THanks.

Default Garmin 3D files and panel layout brainstorm website

Google G3XStepFiles" and find a list of files on a Garmin webpage... what you what is labeled "G3X 3D Models (.STEP)" and at present the file is at rev 3 and is named "g3xstepfiles3.zip"

Have a look inside the zip file and find what is shown in the attached image.

I have some other stuff like control knobs, toggle switches, CBs, switch guards, swivel vents, if you tell me what you need.

You can google "Free Panel Designer available to builders" and find a KitPlanes article about an online panel planner. There you will find many examples of panel layouts to help brainstorm your layout; said layouts can be filtered to show your aircraft model only.

I do suggest you validate any downloaded drawing against the actual install manual. I have found at least 1 error in the Garmin files. That error could also be a, import/translation error as well. Either way, I do trust but verify....
