James-

I remember seeing what that machine looked like, long before you made it yours. Bravo! And thanks for the wonderful trip report!

Cool story. I think I tailed you (or you tailed me) on both of our first legs on 7/25. I had departed HHR at 6AM and heard the slew of SoCal experimentals working eastbound towards OSH on LA/ABQ Center freqs. I also did it in one day (and only one stop). Great write up

Whoa! Serious bragging rights. Excellent report. Many years ago it was a 6 that got me hooked on RVís. The best flier of the bunch.

Great write-up. Everyone that owns an RV should do something like this. At least once. Bravo.

I had a similar experience in my RV-6! I left KEUG @ 05:57 7/23. Spent an hour on the ground @ KRKS with 9135' DA and difficulty getting a restart. Fueled again @ KFSD and landed KOSH 19:00. Long day but invigorating to go that far. Congrats on your one day trip!

What a great write up and photos. Definitely a dream week of flying. Like you I always wanted to fly to Meigs field. I was sooooooo mad when Dailey closed it under the cover of night and moved bulldozers in!
But here I am about to order an RV7 empenage kit and daydreaming of someday making a cross country trip. Thank you for the inspiration and all your efforts writing this up.
