Has anyone ever flown into Telluride CO with their RV?
Thinking about it....perhaps this coming week with the Fall colors in full bloom.
Would appreciate your comments.
Thanks,
Jim

Yes, several times, and hands-down...it's my FAVORITE airport in America to fly to! By all means, get out there to see the leaves change color :D Rosie

Yup.....

Was there about 3 weeks ago. Cool approach, nice peeps, and a landing fee--$3.60. Worth the price of admission. Have your video running!!

We came up the valley from the Cortez area over Lizard Head Pass and exited along the more traditional departure to the NW essentially on runway heading for quite aways to flat lands.

If you are not used to high density altitudes take a few swings at Durango, Pagosa, Jicarilla, etc. before going to Telluride or Leadville.

Here's a 3rd "go for it!". I flew in last September and had a ball; ditto what Chuck said... we arrived S through Lizard Head Pass and departed NW towards the flatter terrain. Keep an eye on the density altitude (duh!)... when we taxied for takeoff (OAT 65 deg) the DA sign by the runway said 11,300 ft! With 2 peeps, half tanks, 180hp and C/S prop, we did just fine.
