I am looking for some help in the specifications of the crankshaft flange(s) used in the -12 series aircraft.
I make the EZ-COWL tool for Lycoming powered aircraft (mostly RV's), that have a Type 2 crank flange.
It is an "assist" device for making the initial fitting/attaching of the cowling to the fuselage easier - with the engine installed; BUT, without the need for the propeller.
I would like to offer the same idea for Rotax powered aircraft, but need the crank flange specs before proceeding. I've reached out to Rotax's Technical Support Division - but so far, no joy.
Any help out there?
Thanks
