Randy King

Randy King passed away on January 9, 2023 after a brief, but hard fought battle against aggressive brain cancer.

Randy flew formation with the Venice gang in his 4 and 8, before getting the aero bug bad and competing in his 8. He moved to a Pitts a few years back.
Others here may know more about Randy, but I know he was an F-14 driver and flew A320's for Jet Blue before retiring during Covid. He then went back to flying 320's before getting the diagnosis.

Tina, his wife, let me know that they are having a Celebration of Life for Randy on April 29 at the Community Hall 1910 S Pebble Beach Blvd Sun City Center, FL 33573, noon to 5pm, do not have to stay the whole time, casual dress, Randy wanted a party!

Great guy and a great stick. Every time we did tail chase and ACM, he waxed my a$$!

I was saddened to learn of Randy's cancer diagnosis but encouraged by his determination to fight it with all he had. He did put up a good fight but cancer can be a formidable enemy. Sadly it seems to take the best of people.
I flew many aerobatic contests with Randy and we had some great times together. The aerobatic community and the World is a lesser place for his passing. My heart goes out to Tina and family as well as the many friends who are missing a great soul.
