Mine is a USAF surplus F-15 mirror, from Davis Monthan AFB.
Someone bought a bunch of their surplus and was selling them for awhile. Sorry that was a long time ago, so probably not helpful, unless you can find someone like DG Airparts that has one.
Matt Dralle was working on a design for magnetically-attached mirrors earlier this year. Not sure if that's still a work in progress or not, but I was really interested in buying a pair if he got them to production.
At one time "Nordo" was making and selling them but I believe he sold his design to someone else to market them and I lost track of who now sells them.
They work well together. The mirror stays angled however I adjust it. It's big enough to see the rear seat passenger. You could use a larger mirror if you want but I wanted something small so it wouldn't block my view out the front.
Gary had sent me the DIY link above, a few weeks ago. EZ to make. Low $$$. Wanted to watch behind me when doing loose formation. And my next trip to OSH.
Use any Amazon or Ebay mirror. You can slide them around to suit you, and if you buy an adjustable mirror you can point them anywhere. They stay put and won't fall off. Great product.
I didn't want to use magnets near the panel, so I machined an aluminium ball and arm for a blind spot mirror. Threads into a hole drilled in the roll bar.
