Windshield fairing

Does anyone produce an aluminum or preformed fiberglass windshield fairing for the 9 tipup? Don't really want to go thru the epoxy glass layup if there is an alternative available. But if I must......

I was not able to find any.
The multi-layered fairing layup (6 plys in mine) is not as ugly as it sounds. A lot of sanding is eventually required to finish, but if you use peel-ply on each glass layer, the intermediate sanding is close to nil. I dreaded the faring process and procrastinated for months, but - like so many other processes - once I got into it, it went quite well.

The aluminum fairing can be made pretty easy using a wood jig, they look very nice when done properly. I made them for my slider but the same concept would apply to your needs

Try this web site. He has a tip up 9 as an example. I used the windshield fairing he makes for the RV-10 and I am very happy with it.

I agree with Rupester... I recently finished mine, and it wasn't the big bad thing I dreaded for so long. If you apply the glass layers carefully and neatly, the sanding won't be bad at all.
