Cleaning alumnimum in tight areas

Hi All,

I am moving along on my tail kit. I had to notch out the aft ends of the HS-404 ribs last night and it came out fine, but need to clean them up (the cuts) some. What is the best tool for cleaning up these small areas? Dremel tool?

Thanks for any suggestions. :)

The Dremel is kind of handy to have during the empennage section - it becomes a little more handy during the wings, and by the time you get into the fuselage, it is Your Friend.

Go get one.

I used a combination of the Dremel tool cutoff disc to remove large areas and small needle files to smooth out the edges. I prefer the needle files on some areas as the dremel tool can cause alot of damage in short order if it gets away from you or accidently touches another area.
