First flight

I finally got around to making the first flight. Saturday Jan 29, 2011.
2550 hours of building over 5 years.
Flies great, just some minor squawks.
Here's the helmet cam video of the first couple minutes. The warning light is for some minor indications. It reminds me of the far side where the flight engineer is talking to the captain and says, "Hey Frank, there's a warning light on and darned if it isn't the big one."

Congrats! (wasn't it hard to come back down?)

Be sure and make those checks all over and under the cowl,..at freq intervals along the way,..

guess no need to say keep smiling :D
 
bouncing altimeter

Congrats - and cool video!

I noticed the needle on the analog altimeter bouncing and wondered what causes that?

I don't know yet what caused it.

That's one of the things that I'll pay more attention to on then next flights.
