Was having trouble with high CHT on #3 cylinder with my newly rebuilt engine, so decided to try making a bump out on the firewall side of the baffle. i got the pictures from another builder so thanks for that. The bump out worked, cylinder CHT dropped and all is good so far.
What does it look like? I can’t visualize it from your description. Can you post the pictures?
How much higher temperature did your cylinder 3 have? Are there a different “bump outs” sizes for different temperature adjustments needed?

I believe this is the bump out for #3 cylinder that RWARRE is referring to.
I put one on my -7 when making the baffles. NO hot #3 CHT. It works.
