6A Main Gear Doubler Plates

I have a 6 I want to convert to a 6A. I'm trying to figure out what needs to be done to remove the old plates in the fuselage side skin / structure so I can install the doubler plates that the main gear weldments attaches to.

Any advice or resources?

We may have to talk at some point in the future, I hope to purchase an RV6A in the next week, if I get that done, I am actually more interested in an RV6 and as crazy as it sounds, I might have your parts.....and you might have mine
