Ground Adjustable Rudder Pedals

Allan Stern

Have started to dry fit my ground adjustable pedals and noticed that the right angle with bolts attached is awful close to the aluminum baggage bulk head. So with it installed, you would not be able to remove the bolts and adjust the pedals unless you take the skin out.

So how have you folks handled this? Drill some holes in that skin in relation to bolt holes in the floor angle so you can remove the bolts and adjust the pedals if needed?

I put my bolts threads facing outboard

And I had enough room. You could put the bolts the other way, but like you said, on the starboard side you would have to take the baggage compartment floor and wall out. This isn't to big of a deal for my plane, and you wouldn't have to dive under the instument panel to adjust anything with the good access.
