AD 41H rivet

I sealed up my first fuel tank today and it did not go that well. I picked up a AD 42H instead of the smaller AD 41H Rivet and put it in the wrong hole. To make matters worse it is also sticking up out of the hole about an 1/8".

Looking for any idea's on how to fix this.

I was thinking of grinding the head off and punching the the rest into the tank, then shaking the tank around until it falls out. Any other Idea's?

There's no other way to extract it other than to drill it out. Don't grind; you're more likely to mar the baffle skin. If it's in the inboard bay (I don't remember which way the flanges run), you can reach in and put a bit of masking tape behind it to catch it; otherwise it's shake, rattle, and roll.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I am going to wait for the Pro Seal to set up first so the punch out doesn't get stuck in it.

Thanks
